The Hellsing TV series, the first animated incarnation of Hellsing made whist the original author/mangaka was still finishing the series in manga form, departed from the manga in many ways. It was still a very good series (Excellent music, for one), but it definitely doesn't follow the manga one hundred percent, unlike Hellsing Ultimate.
