Kino's Journey: the Beautiful World/Kino no Tabi -the Beautiful World-/Kino's Journey takes one through a surreal world filled with differing countries, each with its own little tale. Not your typical series, this one is. Indeed, it started not as manga but as light novel. The art, especially of the manga-style, is exceptional, as some scans here attest.

Clear folder, eh? The front illustration may or may not be the inspiration for a recent (As of this typing) Kino no Tabi figure.
